Many people all over the world are having trouble with headaches every day. There are many different kinds of headaches and they all have different symptoms. Even every single person who experience som kind of headache will have a unique pain. The headache symptoms are divided into four different phases and different people go through different phases. There are not much you can do to get rid of your headache but there are a few things you can do to ease the pain and prevent it from occuring at all. You can read more about migraine headaches treatment here.

Some people have trouble with headaches very often, for a very long time. This is called chronic headache and have many different types of which you can read here. By having headaches every day could manifest in different ways, some people wake up with a pulsuating headache. Some people who suffer from a constant headache with no pain free time has another type of headache called cluster headaches, which is the worst type of headache you can get. People who is actually have problem with cluster headaches have talked to an experienced doctor, a neurologist. Neurologist are specialists when it comes to the brain and can help you determine which type of headache you’re suffering from. The neurologist will then do a few tests to rule out other possible symptoms because cluster headaches is a rather rare neurological disorder. If you suffer from headaches everyday I would advise you to talk to a neurologist. If you wake up with headaches in the morning I recommend you to check your current condition, like sleeping patterns, loss of energy during every day activities, trouble with concentration etc.

I have myself during a period of my life experienced headache. I was about 7 years old at the time and me, my two brothers and my dad was driving home after a nice day at the beach. Somewhere along the road we stopped at a a crossing with a red light. When the light turned green we continued driving, seconds later it all went black. What we didn’t notice was that the driver from the other direction didn’t stop when the light turned red hon his side (since he was drunk) and hit our car in full speed.

A few months after the accident I started to get very painful headaches, migraines. The doctor thought it was after the whip-lash effect the collision had had on my neck, and my neck was very tense. What I had got was Chronic tension-type headache. The headaches kept coming, several days per week. It was not too often that I woke up and had a constant headache every day. My problems didn’t stop until about 6-7 years later. I tried a lot of things but it had almost no effect on me whatsoever, but the headaches eventually stopped. My theory is that the neck was remembering the damage it had taken and I got really tense in the neck as a result of that. I guess what helped me was relaxation exercises and visiting a doctor who massaged my neck. The massage was focused on finding trigger points in the neck who triggered my headaches and by using a press and release technique he helped the muscles relax and in the long run, me. Thanks to a lot of effort and patience I have no problem with headaches at all! I suggest you do a little reading on this site if you found this site by searching for “headaches every day”.

The reason why many people wake up with a headache everyday can come from many things. It could be a bad nights sleep, lack of water (dehydration), not visiting the toilet when you actually need to pee, you drank too much the day before, you ate something bad, you’re stressed out, drinking to much caffeine. Thinking back on what you did before you went to bed might be a good option since it can help to rule out the most obvious reasons as a i stated before. If you didn’t have a headache when you went to bed and still get them when you wake up it has to be triggered when you are in your bed, or when you are sleeping. Try to check under which conditions you are sleeping, is it dark enough, any loud noises? Many people underestimate the importance of having a and quiet room to sleep in. The hormons which helps us get a good nights sleep is called melatonin and depends of how dark it is. Many people doesn’t change their sleeping habits but supplement with medicated man-made melatonin. There are quite few melatonin side effects but I personally recommend doing it the natural way. Another thing is that it might be too dirty where you sleep, try to clean your room where you sleep (or your house really) to get rid of all the dust particles that swirl around in your house… the list goes on.

One thing many people can’t figure out themselves are that they might be clenching/grinding their teeth while they are sleeping. When you are grinding your teeth on your sleep your cheeck muscles get tense and so does many muscles in your neck too. This is why so many people wake up with a headache every morning, by grinding their teeth. Try to visit a doctor to get some help with this, and it is actually quite easy to fix, but it might be hard to find. By solving this problem you might just solve your chronic headache problem which have always bothered you in the early mornings.

Try to go trough a sleep study to find out why might be causing your headaches, it can be many things. And it is just not worth it to start the day by having a bad headache and not knowing why, it really sucks, trust me I know how it feels to wake up every day with a migraine and you really don’t want to spend all your time consumed by pain. Try to treat your headaches as soon as you possibly can and get to know how to stop them. Maybe you will wake up with a smile everyday instead, how’s that for a change?

Many people find themselves troubled with headache during seasonal changes. People who don’t suffer from severe conditions of migraines such as headaches everyday, chronich headahces or cluster headaches can get headaches during special seasons. The reason could be that during for example summer there is a lot of pollution going on and people who have allergies can develop migraines if the allergy is overwhelming. During summer there is also a change in weather and many headaches is caused by changes in weather conditions such as humidity and heat. By keeping a diary for your headaches you have a better perspective to find out what might be triggering your headaches. Some allergy headaches can also be sinus headaches since clogging of nasal cavities often have to do with some sort of allergy.

Most people who have migraines during the day will not treat them. Since it is just a part of the allergy, but the might take medication for their allergy and get rid of the headache that way. People who get headaches from weather changes will find it a little bit harder to treat, but common painkillers for headaches will probably help. Other symptoms which you can get from weather changes except headaches is feeling tired, allthough you still get enough sleep. If you feel that you have tried all methods but nothing help, try to do a sleep examination and find out what might be causing this condition, it might be sleep apnea.

Other reasons why you might get a headache during summer seasons is the increase in light exposure, just try to imagine the difference in light during the arctic summer season compared during the polar night season. It is a BIG difference. So it is very common to have migraines during the day in the summer compared to other seasons.

Are you one of the millions who got an headache today? Well rest assured that you are not alone. Many people all over the world gets a migraine headache every now and then. Some more than others, and those who gets one usually have a chronic condition when it comes to headaches. Don’t be afraid since it won’t damage you even though it may feel like your head is about to explode. This helmet of pain will go away in time. Sometimes it could last for a day. My personal tips is to drink a lot of water and get some sleep. It is hard enough just trying to every day things, don’t try to push it since it can just make your headache worse.

Try to rest as much as you possibly can and it will go away faster. Before when I had severe migraines almost every day I took a big glass of water, took a painkiller and went to bed. Your head might be pulsuating and it can be hard to fall asleep but try to endure the pain and relax, you will fall asleep and probably not wake up before the headache has gone away. If you feel like you are tired all the time and every day chores makes you exhausted you may need som additional tips on a healthier lifestyle, in this health article there are plenty of tips on how to improve your everyday life, go read it! As a precaution, try to get some rest as soon as you feel a pre-headache sympton evolve. As a sidenote I would try to reduce all the possible stress factors as much as you can if you feel that situations that can cause stress also gives you a lot of headaches. So… if you got a migraine today, get some sleep!

There are many things that can cause a migraine headache, things that gets you a migraine headache are called migraine headache triggers. The most general triggers to migraine headache triggers are; physical activity, stress (anxiety or worry), menstruation, strong odors like perfume. Most people have got a headache or migraine from either of these. Every other migraine can be triggered could be excessive sleep, high humidity, head trauma (accidents involving your head) and drinking cold water (or eating cold things). These triggers i mentioned above are called general triggers which are the most common ones causing a migrain headache but there are also other categories which involve medication and food, medication triggers and food triggers. You’ve probably read on a medication prescription that sideeffects could include headaches or migraine, but it doesn’t mean everyone gets a migraine triggered from medication, some get it some don’t. Food triggers are quite common and a migraine could be triggered by eating foods like chocolate, alcohol (red wine mostly), cold food (ice cream, ice cubes in drinks etc) and aged cheese.

Getting frequent migraines can be really frustrating and it is very hard to control, no matter what type och headache you get. But when it finally stops you really notice it, like a calm wave that envelops your whole body with a positive feeling. Getting frequent headache can be very depressing and you can’t really focus on doing anything that requires even the minimum effort.

Remember that migraine headache can be a result of many normal tensions: It could be chronic lower back pain, or a back pain from every day activites like work and sports. Remember that you can treat all of these in some way to make your life more valuable and worth living. It all boils down on choosing the right method and never give up. I myself know a lot of people who stress every day, and giving them som advice really helped. Relief from constant headaches is something you will value a lot if you suffer from them chronically.

The problem migraine hadaches cause is bigger than most people think. Everyday there are millions of people who suffer from migraine in one way or another. The result are millions of dollars lost to pay expenses such as medical drugs to ease the pain. Every year migraine is causing millions of people to stay home from work which is devastating for small buissness companies all around the world.
But the migraine is not just causing effect to the company and to the person who suffers. Friends and families are also drawn to the problems that migraine causes in form of stress and anxiety. It’s hard for someone who doesn’t have the problem to really know what it does to ones life. It aggravates every day tasks like going up early in the morning, go to work, try to have a normal 9 to 5 job, excersising and be with friends and family; it becomes a living hell. Try to think about how it would affect YOUR life if you were doing everything you do daily with a severe, pulsating pain in your head. It’s hard to imagine, right?

Most migraine headaches are caused by outer factors. It could be triggered from things you eat, things you don’t eat (lack of food) and plain bad food (junk food). Another common factor is stress, and I guess you have all heard it could cause headaches. And it is higly likely that stress will cause a headache to you sometime in your life, but it doesn’t have to be a severe migraine, so don’t worry. Stress itself can get triggered from a lot of different things:

Excitement (adrenaline rush)

Bad posture (tense muscles)

Bad/lack of sleep (may be a result of bad daily routines)

Environment (bright light, loud noises, strong smells, cleaning chemicals)

But migraine might as well come from inner factors such as diseases and illness (bacteria and virus). Here are a few example of dieseases in which migraines may occur more often:

Abnormal cholesterol levels

Tourette’s syndrome

Stroke

Depression and anxiety

What is a migraine headache?
The term migraine means a neurological syndrome which is commonly characterized by headaches and a feeling of nausea also known as sea-sickness. When you first get migraine the pain is more severe compared to a normal headache (everyday headache) which doesn’t feel as overwhelming. By severe I mean in terms of feeling a pulsation in your head, sensitive to light and everyday sounds like traffic and listening to the radio and not to loud noises.

Normally the pain is in one side of the head and you can sometimes feel the pain moving from one side to the other. The pain often comes like a burst and can last anywhere from 30 minutes to four days! Most people suffering from migraine headaches often prefer a dark and silent room to rest in (hence the sensitivity to light and sound).

Currently we don’t know what causes migraine headache but there are several theories that might have something to do with migraine headache occuring. One theory is that migraine headache is a result of disorder in the serotonergic control system (the system which handles the transmission of serotonin in your body). This often cause a bloodflow increase up to three times more than normal. This is probably something you have felt if you have experienced a migraine headache. Most people who gets headaches everyday often has a increased bloodflow and some of them can feel their bloodvessels enlarge upon a migraine, along with the pulsuating pain which many migraineurs experience. Sometimes a light massage in these areas can help and aleviate the pain. The most common place to have this pulsuating pain is around your temple.

Statistics show that headaches affect more females (up to three time more often) than males in the US, and about the same rate during puberty. Severe Migraine headaches is most common from age 12 to age 40 and declines thereafter. In US white women tend to have the highest frequence of migraine. In the last 20 years the frequency of migraine headaches have increased. Some people believe that migraine headache can be hereditary. In a study of people who suffered from severe migraine 70% of those had a relative (it could be their mother, father or brother and sister) who also had some sort of migraine problem.

Different types of migraine
There are different types of migraine. Two of the most common migraines are: migraine with aura (classic migraine) and migraine without aura (normal migraine). When you have symptoms of migraine with aura (classic migraine) you normally experience things that sooner turns into a more severe type of migraine. Symptoms like seeing lightnings and silverthreads in your perifery and a more narrow perifery. You could also have trouble hearing. These symptoms accour about 20 to 40 minutes before the real migraine start.
Migraine without aura is also called normal migraine and it’s practically a normal migraine except the symptoms of aura. People who have a headache every day have a “normal headache”
